We have begun to work with the creation of such software, which should add the software for Echocardiography used at work on Ultrasound Diagnostic Systems of the various manufacturers. Low cost of the programs, easy use and the additional features of the analysis of researches will make STRESS BROWSER, TEE BROWSER and TTE BROWSER effective assistants for any doctor who is carrying out Echocardiography. It is presented software for analyzing results of Echocardiography, formation of Echocardiogram Report and archiving them in a Database. Now programs for the Transthoracic Echocardiography, the Stress Echocardiography and the Transoesophageal Echocardiography are submitted in Russian. And also there is a program for the Stress Echocardiography in English.
Stress echocardiography is a valuable clinical tool for diagnostics and to functionally assess coronary artery disease.
Various forms of cardiovascular stress (exercise test, pharmacological stress echocardiography, atrial pacing) are used at Stress Echocardiography. According to the recent guidelines of the American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association pharmacological stress echocardiography with either dobutamine or dipyridamole is a class 1 indication (of documented effectiveness and usefulness) for the diagnosis of coronary artery disease and for the prognostic stratification of patients with known coronary artery disease. The American Society of Echocardiography has also recommended with either dobutamine or dipyridamole as the preferred modality in patients who cannot exercise.
Dobutamine echocardiography has also been used safely in the assessment of patient status after myocardial infarction and in the differentiation of viable myocardium from myocardial scar in patients being considered for coronary revascularization. Viable myocardium exhibits a visible contractile reserve in response to low-dose dobutamine infusion. At higher-dose dobutamine infusion, the inotropic stimulation creates an oxygen supply/demand mismatch rendering the myocardium ischemic. This biphasic response, with regional augmentation of function at low-dose dobutamine followed by deterioration of regional function at high-dose dobutamine, is highly predictive of functional recovery after revascularization.
Electrocardiography and 2D echocardiography are mainly used as methods of monitoring work of heart at Stress Echocardiography. Modern Ultrasound Diagnostic Systems with digital architecture and special software are used at Stress Echocardiography.
